Dit eendaagse festival bestaat uit drie onderdelen: een workshop fysiek theater (11.00–13.00), een middagprogramma (15.00–17.00) en een avondprogramma (19.30–21.30). Voor elk onderdeel kun je een apart ticket bestellen. Bezoekers die zowel een ticket voor het middag- als het avondprogramma kopen, ontvangen één gratis drankje. We verzoeken je om minimaal 15 minuten vóór aanvang van elk programma onderdeel aanwezig te zijn. Als het door jou gewenste tickettype is uitverkocht, kijk dan een dag later opnieuw. We houden de beschikbaarheid van tickets actueel. Vroegboekkorting voor een volwassenenticket: vóór 16 maart kun je met de code EARLYA (middagprogramma) en EARLYE (avondprogramma) €2 korting per ticket krijgen.

World Weave is een multicultureel en multidisciplinair festival voor performance kunst. Het brengt kunstenaars uit verschillende disciplines en culturele achtergronden samen om gezamenlijk te creëren, kennis uit te wisselen en hun werk met het publiek te delen. Klik voor meer info.

Centraal staat een experimenteel creatief proces waarin artistieke disciplines en culturele perspectieven met elkaar worden verweven. Door de ontmoeting van dans, muziek, theater en beeldende kunst ontwikkelen we nieuwe vormen van expressie, stimuleren we vernieuwende samenwerkingen en betrekken we het publiek actief bij innovatieve kunstpraktijken.

Het hoofdprogramma op 4 april bestaat uit twee blokken: een middag- en een avondprogramma. Daarnaast is er ’s ochtends een workshop fysiek theater.

Middagprogramma (15.00–17.00, deuren open 14.30)

- Concert van SweetPotato (Chinese muziek met traditionele instrumenten: guqin, guzheng, xiao en zang)

- Pauze

- Multidisciplinaire dansimprovisatie met live muziek (Speelruimte en SweetPotato)

- Danstheatervoorstelling door Leah Jacob en Dipa

- Interactieve gesprekken over multiculturaliteit en multidisciplinariteit

- Bewegingssessie met het publiek en dansers van Speelruimte

Dinerpauze (17.00–19.30): er zijn snacks en drankjes verkrijgbaar. Er is ook voldoende tijd om in de stad te dineren.

Avondprogramma (19.30–21.30, deuren open 19.00)

- Goochelshow door Zippo Guo

- Pianosolo door Yuqi Han

- Pauze

- Guqin-solo (Chinees snaarinstrument) door Leyun van SweetPotato

- Improvisatie-danstheater met muzikale samenwerking tussen verschillende culturen (Speelruimte en SweetPotato)

De artiesten treden niet alleen op, maar delen ook hun creatieve proces en hun ontdekkingsreis in korte talks, gevolgd door gesprekken met het publiek.

Interactieve voorbereiding voorafgaand aan het festival

We nodigen je uit om vóór 28 maart woorden, zinnen, ervaringen en gedachten te delen over multiculturele en multidisciplinaire creatieve processen. Laat een bericht achter via Instagram @worldweave2026 of mail naar worldweave2026@gmail.com.

• Heb je een moment meegemaakt waarop verschillende disciplines samen iets nieuws creëerden — ook in het dagelijks leven?

• Welke uitdagingen en verrassingen kwam je tegen in zo’n proces?

Workshop fysiek theater (11.00–13.00, deuren open 10.45)

Onder leiding van goochelaar en theatermaker Zippo Guo. Door middel van beweging, theatergames en groepsimprovisatie stappen deelnemers uit hun dagelijkse routine en maken opnieuw contact met hun lichaam. Wanneer mensen samen bewegen, ontstaat er vanzelf iets betekenisvols. Het gaat niet om techniek, maar om vertragen, luisteren en ruimte delen.Zowel ervaren deelnemers als beginners zijn welkom in een veilige en speelse omgeving. De workshop is geschikt voor 10–65 jaar. Kinderen nemen deel samen met een ouder en kunnen gebruikmaken van de studentenkorting.

De workshop wordt gesponsord door World Weave en Cloud Causality - een internationaal collectief dat via fysiek theater “zachte ruimtes” creëert voor menselijke verbinding. Hun workshops vervangen prestatiedruk door spel, nieuwsgierigheid en aanwezigheid.

World Weave is een samenwerking tussen de Chinese muziekgroep SweetPotato en dansers van de SpeelRuimte-community. Het festival wordt gesponsord door de gemeente Wageningen en ondersteund door Maakfabriek.

This one-day festival consists of three parts: Workshop physical theatre (11.00-13.00), Afternoon program (15.00-17.00), andEvening program (19.30-21.30).  For each part, you can order a separate ticket. Participants who order both afternoon and evening tickets get one free drink. Please arrive at least 15 min before each program part starts. If your desired ticket type is sold out, please check it again one day later. We will keep the available tickets updated. Early bird discount for adult ticket: before 16 March, use code: EARLYA for the afternoon program and EARLYE for the evening program, to get 2 euro discount per ticket.

Central to the project is an experimental creative process in which different artistic disciplines and cultural perspectives are interwoven. Through the intersection of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, we aim to develop new forms of artistic expression, stimulate innovative collaborations, and actively involve the public in the development of innovative art practices.

The main program on the 4th of April is in two blocks: in the afternoon and in the evening. Diverse performances are presented in the main program. Additionally, there is a physical theatre workshop in the morning. 

Afternoon program (15.00-17.00, doors open at 14.30):

- Multidisciplinary dance improvisation with live music (Speelruimte and SweetPotato) 

- Dance-theatre performance by Leah Jacob and Dipa

- Discussion on multicultuale and multidisciplinary performance art (interactive)

- Movement practice of the audience and dancers of Speelruimte

Dinner break (17.00-19.30): there will be snacks and drinks available.There is also enough time to have dinner in town. 

Evening program (19.30-21.30, doors open at 19.00):

- Magic Show by Zippo Guo

- Piano solo by Yuqi Han

- Break

- Guqin solo (Chinese string instrument) by Leyun of SweetPotato

- Improvisation dance theatre with musical collaboration between different cultures (Speelruimte and SweetPotato).

The artists will not only perform, but also share their creative process, their journey of exploration through a short talk, and have some discussions with the public.

• Have you experienced a moment where different disciplines came together to create something new? Also in daily life?

• What challenges — and surprises — have you encountered in such a process?

Workshop physical theatre (11.00-13.00, doors open 10.45): 

Led by magician and theatre artist Zippo Guo. Through movement, theatre games, and group improvisation, participants step out of daily routines and reconnect with their bodies. When people move together, something meaningful naturally emerges. It’s not about technique, but about slowing down, listening, and sharing space. Both experienced participants and beginners are welcome to explore in a safe and playful environment. The workshop is suitable for 10 - 65 years old. Children should join with their parent, and can use the student discount code.
